ABOUT

Timeless. Intentional. Entirely Yours.

Designing landscapes that feel as though they’ve always belonged.

You care about your home and how it feels when you arrive. You want your outdoor space to feel welcoming, intentional, and beautiful — a place where you can host friends, spend time with family, and enjoy being outside. But knowing where to begin can feel overwhelming.

That’s where thoughtful design comes in.

My work begins in the studio, where ideas are explored slowly and intentionally before anything is built. Through a hand-drawn process, we study your property, how you want to live in the space, and what will create lasting beauty around your home.

Creating a garden is, at its heart, an analog act.

It invites you outside.
To put the phone down.
To walk barefoot.
To host dinner without distraction.
To let your children explore something real.

I draw by hand. We think slowly. We refine intentionally. What we create is not trend-driven or disposable — it is grounded in practicality, composed with beauty, and designed to inspire.

After more than three decades designing landscapes in the Northeast, I’ve learned that the most successful gardens balance artistry with real-world practicality. My work focuses on creating landscapes that feel natural to the home, offer beauty through all four seasons, and grow more meaningful over time.

The process is collaborative and personal, and many clients invite me back as their gardens evolve.

The goal is simple:

To create a garden that feels thoughtful, welcoming, and entirely yours — a place you’re proud to come home to.

STUDIO PROCESS

The design process brings clarity to your space before any construction begins. Together we explore possibilities, refine ideas, and create a landscape that feels practical, beautiful, and intentional.

The studio process unfolds in three phases.

Phase 1 — Design

Every project begins with thoughtful design.

Working from the studio, I study your property, your home’s architecture, and how you want to live in the space. Ideas are explored by hand and refined into clear drawings that translate vision into something installers can build with confidence.

The design phase provides clarity before construction begins — allowing you to understand what’s possible and move forward with confidence.

Design services are also available for homeowners who plan to install the project themselves or work with their own contractor

Phase 2 — Site Management

Installation is not the end of design — it’s where design becomes lived experience.

I remain closely involved through the whole process, working alongside skilled, detail-oriented craftsmen so that what we imagined together unfolds with care and clarity.

You begin to see it forming.

The charming colorful plantings.
The walkway that welcomes you home.
The place you exhale at the end of the day.

There is something emotional about seeing it all come together — about recognizing that this space, once uncertain, now feels composed and welcoming.

That’s why the process is guided carefully — so what greets you at the end feels beautiful, intentional, and deeply yours.

Phase 3 — Ongoing Care

When installation is complete, your garden is just beginning.

What we carefully composed on paper starts to mature and take on depth.

Ongoing Care visits are designed to support this important phase and help you gain confidence.

We walk the space together — reviewing pruning, spring and fall clean-up, and small adjustments that help the design mature gracefully. You learn how your plants behave, what to expect next season, and how to guide your maintenance team clearly.

Most clients choose seasonal visits in spring and fall the year after installation, though visits can be scheduled whenever you’d like additional guidance.

There is something deeply satisfying about understanding your own garden — about knowing how it all works.

Ongoing Care visits are structured at the same hourly studio rate as Site Management.

The goal is always the same:

To create a landscape that feels practical, beautiful, intentional, and inspiring — a garden that continues to grow more meaningful over time.
